Inflatable Games

All inflatables used for 'hire and reward' are required to have regular safety inspections under the Provisions and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)

Inflatable games come under 3 main categories:

1) Non Ride-On - these are inflatables where users ARE NOT required to stand, sit or touch the main device when in general use according to manufacturers instructions.

This includes items such as Football Shooters, Basketball Shooters etc

In November 2023 PIPA launched the first of 3 phases on expansion to include these types of inflatable games, We will therefore always issue a PIPA inspection certification on these units when presented.

2) Ride-On games - these games are where users ARE required to stand, sit or touch when in general use according to manufacturers instructions.

These items sit outside of the main BS EN14960 specifications, although many aspects will sill be relevant to the inspection of these units.

This is a specialist area of inspection, having run a hire business with over 200 units, many of which fall into this category, we have the understanding to undertake full risk assessments on both the design and operational side of inspecting these units.

3) Electro Mechanical - these are units which contain boths an inflatable safety device as well as an electronic element, such as sweepers, rodeo bulls and surf simulators.

AAA Inflatables is one of only a handful of inspection services that is able to offer Sweeper inspections on behalf of Airquee Ltd, we have been trained to complete inspections and will issue manufacturer certification. Please note we are not able to inspect any other manufacturers sweepers.

Due to the nature of these products it is currently a requirement that any safety inspections are completed by the designing manufacturer.

4) Play Parks - the latest development in the inflatable play industry is large mainly static play parks.

Owning our own play park at Inflatebounce Ltd we have a high level of knowledge of the operational side of running a successful play centre.

Their is a much higher level of risk and design, maintenance and inspection is vital to ensuring continued safety of these units.
